The Southfield Community Foundation is a tax-exempt public charity organized to develop a collection of permanent funds for the long-term benefit of Southfield and Lathrup Village. To meet our mission of enhancing the quality of life for those who work or live in our community, the Foundation focuses on four areas:

1.  Service to Donors
2.  Grants to the Community
3.  Community Building Activities
4.  The Promotion of Philanthropy

Donors work with the Foundation to create PERMANENT FUNDS that generate annual grants that are used to meet the challenges of changing community needs. The Foundation currently awards approximately $50,000 in GRANTS each year to many of the humanitarian, educational and cultural organizations that serve Southfield and Lathrup Village.
